What movie have you repeatedly watched? Harry Potter – the entire series.  What’s featured prominently on your home or office wall? Beautiful art.  I am an art lover!  Who has had the greatest influence on your life? Jesus.  What is the best advice you received growing up? Your character follows you even beyond this life.  Live a life of great character so that you can be proud of your own biography.  What is the best advice you received in your career? Don’t be afraid to go for what you want.  You will still learn something, even if you don’t get the job.

What change would you like to see in the world?

I would like to see people engage in dialogue with open minds when they have differing opinions, seeking first to understand the other before committing with absolute intention to one’s own opinion.  What widely held belief do you reject? That you have to step on or over others to succeed.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Intolerance of other people and ideas.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Overcomer.  What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Reese Witherspoon.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? The Apostle Paul.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? I would want to have the people I love the most in the world gathered around me in a big back yard in perfect weather.  We would laugh and play games and remember our favorite times together. What advice would you give your younger self? Don’t be afraid of failure, but try to do the big, audacious things that will make your life meaningful.

Personal mission: Sharing God’s love by helping others whenever I can.  Personal motto: Every new day is like a wrapped present.  You never know what you are going to get until you open it, but you should always awaken excited to see what the day holds. Your attitude and the way you approach life has more impact on the outcome than your circumstances.  Favorite quote: “People will forget what you say, people will forget what you do, but they will never forget how you make them feel” (Maya Angelou).
