Life has been full of leaps, both professional and personal.  Marriage, divorce, parenting, career pivots.  Currently, leaping into a consulting and coaching practice.  Hobbies: Apart from raising three teenagers, most anything outdoors: hiking, mountain biking, waterfall chasing.  Latest spicy exploration: Fire walking.  Last book read: How to Change Your Mind, by Michael Pollan.  

Personality profile: Authentic, inspiring, curious, playful; deep thinker; Taurus.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Strong.  What traits most motivate you? Grit, grace, curiosity, courage.  Moral compass: What would I tell my children to do?  How do you define an ideal business relationship? A partnership with trust and a clear goal.  Also, the ability to be curious and debate different viewpoints, then align on the path forward.  What is your greatest joy? Seeing my children overcome hard things. What is your greatest fear? Living with regrets. What is your guilty pleasure? Melted peanut butter over vanilla ice cream while binge watching the latest season of whatever.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Breathtaking vistas and an absence of technology.  What has made all the difference in your life? Working hard, showing up, learning while doing; getting very comfortable being  uncomfortable.

Kindness matters.  It's free and takes little effort.  What is the best advice you received in your career? Lead with granted trust. What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? Instacart.  Thrilled to strike grocery shopping forever from my to-do list.  What is your favorite app? All Trails, my outdoor navigator!

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? Helping others lead with more authenticity; building virtual teams with a stronger sense of connection and belonging.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Time is our most valuable non-renewable resource.  Don’t waste it in indecision and busy-ness.  Take the leap.  What mega-trend most concerns you? The use of social platforms and its impact on our youth and mental health.

As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A psychologist.  What advice would you give your younger self? Worrying is a waste of valuable energy.  What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? Definitely, my teenage years.  

Personal mission: To live more fully, laugh more often, be true to myself, build cool things and help others get clear on where they are stuck.  Personal motto: Begin where you are.  Guiding principles: Energy is powerful.  Understand it.  Be aware of what gives you energy and what depletes it.  Do more of the former and less of the latter.
