Current project: Life and lessons social creator and influencer.  Recent recognition: By State of Texas, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis: “In recognition of your journey in overcoming adversity.  We thank you for sharing your stories and talents around overcoming homelessness as they affirm that we can end homelessness for everyone.  We are so proud of what you have accomplished.”  Recent professional development: Leadership Mindsets Certification.  Latest accomplishment: Becoming a member of Chief.  Chief is “designed for women in the C-Suite, senior executives, and accomplished VPs to strengthen their leadership, magnify their influence, and pave the way to bring others with them.”  Latest contribution to others: Donating, helping, speaking, supporting and teaching throughout my community.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Charting a completely new career path.  Hobbies: Dancing, drag racing, learning, traveling and writing.

Personality profile: WIP (work in progress); confident, empathetic, passionate; a life-long learner. What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Determined.  Moral compass: Trust both my discernment and intuition.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Nothing in life is perfect.  What is your greatest joy? Helping and supporting others.  What is your guilty pleasure? Doing nothing.  Being still.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Philanthropy.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Water and sun.

Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My daughter, Shailey (Shay).  What’s the best advice you received growing up? You don’t have to be the best, just be the best YOU.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Just do YOU.  What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? SaaS and Web3.  What is your go-to source of creative inspiration? Nature.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? My daughter being diagnosed with Autism.

This Is Us movement and project.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? At-will employment and wrongful termination.  What change would you like to see in the world? A community of acceptance, acknowledgement, compassion, honesty and understanding.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Dare to be different.

Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My mother, Charlotte Hibbeler.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A teacher.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? My cell phone.  What advice would you give your younger self? Don’t be so hard on yourself.  Laugh and have more fun!  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? The day I qualified as a pro NHRA drag racer (Top Alcohol Dragster).
