Proving to myself, and to others, that I could achieve a goal many people told me was unrealistic.

Personality profile: Focused, disciplined, consistent, honest and authentic.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Resilient.  What natural talent have you neglected? Creativity in writing and storytelling.  What is at the top of your bucket list? Traveling to Egypt and Greece.

Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? Nelson Mandela. What’s the best advice you received growing up? Nothing is permanent; both the good times and the painful ones eventually pass.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Repetition is the key to mastery.  What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? Television, it has been a powerful tool for storytelling, education, and connecting people across the world.

What change would you like to see in the world? Poor and developing countries having the same level of opportunity and prosperity as wealthier nations.  What message do you want to send out into the world? No society should enforce religion or restrictive roles on its people. Everyone deserves the freedom to live authentically without being oppressed.

What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Meryl Streep.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? An archaeologist, especially in Egypt and Greece.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? After my loved ones and pets are safe, the first object I would save is my retainer.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? I would spend it reaching out to the people I have wronged in my life.
