Latest accomplishment: Led Shutterfly project team during strategic exploration and acquisition of Spoonflower in late 2021. Led cross-functional team in post-acquisition delivery of custom designs from Spoonflower designer marketplace into Shutterfly and Snapfish shopping experiences in less than three months after closing.  Latest contribution to others: Lead small groups for fourth and fifth grade girls.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Leaving Shutterfly after nine years of leadership in Consumer Business Operations to look for my next role.  Hobbies: Hiking, baking, cooking, working out, camping, swimming, snorkeling; drinking good wine.  Last book read: Kindred, by Octavia E. Butler.  Recently viewed and recommended: When Women Lead, by Julia Boorstin.  

Personality profile: Witty, energetic, fun, dependable.  What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Driven.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Fun, fulfilling, dependable; doing life together.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? Partnership. What is your greatest joy? My family.  What natural talent have you neglected? Writing.  How do you relieve stress? A long walk outdoors, listening to music, a book or podcast.  

What was your first paying job? Babysitter.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? Steve Burman, former boss and lifetime mentor.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Don’t put anything in writing that you don’t want someone to read. What’s the best advice you received in your career? Whenever possible, speak your dreams out loud to whoever will listen.  What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? Venmo.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? The trip to California with a college friend when I met my future husband, Lance.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field?

Redefining what strong and empathetic leadership looks like.

What change would you like to see in the world? Love and equity for all.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Listen first, speak second.  What mega-trend most excites you? The metaverse.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Nonstop.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My grandmother from Dothan, AL.  She died two weeks before I got married.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A teacher or a business person.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? A pearl necklace given to me by my great-grandmother and brought back from WWII.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family, eating good food and spending time together.  What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? College years.
