Current project: Transitioning to retirement from the military after more than twenty years of service.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Starting a small business from the ground up. Hobbies: Travel, fitness, reading.  Recent travel or adventure: Olive harvest, Dubravice, Croatia. Recent unique acquisition: Recreating a photo of my grandfather during his service in WWII in France.

What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Loyal.  What is your greatest joy? Seeing my children win and succeed.  What is your guilty pleasure? A rare afternoon nap. What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Healthcare workers, especially doctors and nurses.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Delicious and nutritious food.  What is your go-to workout? Push/Pull/Legs (at the gym); HexBar Deadlifts (at home).  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? The beach.

What was your first paying job? Dishwasher at a pizza/fried chicken joint.  What was your favorite college course? Gross Anatomy.  What was your favorite childhood toy or game? Basketball.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Pictures of my kids’ accomplishments and interests.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Anything worth doing is worth doing right.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Measure the things you value and value the things you measure.  What is your go-to source of news and information? X.

What message do you want to send out into the world?

Put down your phone and pick up a book, or a dumbbell.

What widely held belief do you reject? Most people understand what the word “sacrifice” really means.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Teenage access to social media and AI.

What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Denzel Washington. As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A boxing trainer/coach.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? My flight jacket.  What advice would you give your younger self? Every day is a blessing; treat each day accordingly.

Personal mission: Spend quality time with my family and build generational wealth for my children.  Desired epitaph: A son never forgets.
