Moral compass: The Bible, life experiences, and the Holy Spirit (what some call “gut feeling”). How do you define a perfect friendship? Built on forgiveness, trust, loyalty, and accountability. What is your greatest joy? My relationship with Jesus, making my better half happy and seeing my children thrive.  What is your greatest fear? Not doing the will of God.  What is your guilty pleasure? Ice cream.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Politicians (though in today’s world, many lack true selflessness).  What is at the top of your bucket list? A major adventure to Africa and Asia and building a global movement with NewLeaf.  How do you relieve stress? Prayer, meditation, and exercise.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Beach, yacht and massage.

What was your first paying job? My first job outside the family business was at Dania Beach Casino.  What movie have you repeatedly watched? The Pursuit of Happyness (perseverance and rebuilding); The Passion of the Christ.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Vision boards, inspirational quotes, and family photos.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Never forget where you came from and never stop believing in where you can go. What’s the best advice you received in your career? Everything that shines is not gold.  Build structure on firm foundations.  What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? Artificial intelligence, for its ability to save time and uncover insights.  What is your go-to source of news and information? A balance of BBC and Fox News.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field?

Making mental health, re-entry support, and education accessible in one mobile ecosystem.

What change would you like to see in the world? Universal access to clean water, healthy food, healthcare, electricity, communication, and education.  What message do you want to send out into the world? God gave us power over everything on earth.  Let’s make it prosperous instead of destroying it.  Even if you fall, rise with purpose.  What widely held belief do you reject? That one mistake defines your life.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Technology being built without ethics or faith-based accountability.

Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? God the Father, Jesus, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Nelson Mandela.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A leader who built businesses and helped people.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? My Bible, family documents, watches and fragrance collection.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family, on the ocean, in prayer and laughter.  What advice would you give your younger self? Give God the first place in your life.  Dream as big as the globe.  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? The day I understood God’s love, power, and faithfulness.  What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? This past decade, with a stronger relationship with God, wiser influences, and better decisions.

Personal mission: To build generational legacy and merge faith with technology for social impact. Personal motto: We are saved by grace, but “faith without serving others is dead.”  Favorite quote: “Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God” (Leo Buscaglia). Desired epitaph: A man of faith, vision, and legacy who believed in second chances and lived them out.
