Current project: My family, my new business and living a healthy lifestyle including diet, exercise and good sleep.  Latest accomplishment: Recently, I lost 30lbs through diet and exercise.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? I made the decision to leave corporate America and to start a new business, Stand Strong Fencing.  Hobbies: Skiing, golf, cooking, movies, and travel.  Recent travel or adventure: Family vacation to Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort.

How do you define a perfect friendship? A person you can trust, who supports you and makes you feel appreciated and better about yourself.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? Win/Win; each party helping, providing advice and support to the other; invested in the success of others.  What is your greatest joy? Skiing fresh powder with my family.  What is your guilty pleasure? Watching TV with fresh popcorn.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Vacations and golf trips.  What is at the top of your bucket list? Golf Trip to Big Cedar Lodge.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? My wife.

What was your first paying job? My family’s farm, Bristol’s Farm.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? My three individual match play champion plaques and trophies. Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My grandfather. What’s the best advice you received in your career? It’s a marathon, not a sprint.  What motivates and inspires you daily? My wife, Shonna.  What is your go-to source of creative inspiration? Mother Nature.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? Studying abroad in London and moving to Colorado upon return.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field?

Raising the bar in customer service & high quality in the commercial and residential fencing business.

What change would you like to see in the world? Greater affordable housing.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Just be cool to others. Be more empathetic.  What mega-trend most excites you? The shift towards proactive healthcare and wellness, supported by wearable devices and telehealth.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Around, Down and Back: A Story of Adventure and Resilience.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? Shortstop for the Boston Red Sox.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? Playing golf with my family and friends, followed by a BBQ.  What advice would you give your younger self? Follow your passions early in your career.  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? My first date with my wife.  What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? The later years while working in corporate America.  I would seek a better work/life balance.
