Current project: Researching the current strategies of management and their execution of several endeavors.  Latest accomplishment: Playing tennis, pickleball, and dancing after going through knee replacement surgery.  Latest contribution to others: Volunteering for the American Red Cross.  Hobbies: Wine collecting, playing tennis, pickleball, downhill skiing, travel, and cooking. Recent travel or adventure: Experiencing the active Kilauea volcano was an incredible adventure. Recent unique acquisition: A visitor’s pass that my father kept from the Nuremberg Trials.

Personality profile: Adaptive, empathetic, innovative, creative, confident.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Respect, shared values, trust, unconditional support, and honesty.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? Responsiveness, clear and open communication, trust and integrity, adaptive and flexible.  What is your greatest joy? Other than family and friends, music and playing pickleball.  What is your guilty pleasure? Sourdough baguette with European butter and a good glass of wine.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Police officers, firefighters, and EMTs.  What is your favorite place (or way) to spend money? Great food and wine, preferably while traveling.  How do you relieve stress? Exercise, listen to music, walk with the dog.

What was your first paying job? Selling radio advertising time slots.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? An oil painting of a local artist that I purchased in Cuba. What’s the best advice you received in your career? Build relationships and listen actively. Overcome objections by validating, asking questions; be positive and persistent.  What is your go-to source of news and information? Apple News and The Wall Street Journal.  What world event has had the greatest influence on your life? 9/11.

What is your big idea?

The implementation of a financial literacy program to public and private education.

What change would you like to see in the world? Empathy and understanding between different cultures and communities.  What widely held belief do you reject? Success is solely measured in monetary wealth and academic achievement.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Social media.

What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Vivian Leigh.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? Abraham Lincoln.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A ballerina.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family, in a lovely and peaceful setting in nature, enjoying fond memories.  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? Bringing my newborn baby home from the hospital.
