How do you define a perfect friendship? You may not have seen or heard from them for years, but when needed, they are there for you. How do you define an ideal business relationship? Working with people you respect, can rely on and can work in effective collaboration. What is your greatest joy? My family: wife, children and grandchildren. What is your guilty pleasure? Sitting in my garden with a glass of wine and listening to the wildlife. What natural talent have you neglected? I used to play in various bands and orchestras. What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Coroners. How do you relieve stress? Gardening and exercise. What is your go-to workout? Treadmill whilst watching films on an iPad.
What was your first paying job? Working in property management. What was your favorite college course? Medicine. What book have you repeatedly read? Heart of Darkness, by Joseph Conrad. What movie have you repeatedly watched? Anna and the Apocalypse. What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Wallpaper in the tartan of my mother’s clan. Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? Dr. John Mcgladdery, my family GP as a child. What’s the best advice you received in your career? To properly listen before speaking.

What message do you want to send out into the world? Do not take your work or yourself too seriously. What widely held belief do you reject? That multiculturalism cannot work.
What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? The Grinch. Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My dad. As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A doctor. After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? Photo albums. How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family, relaxing on a sun-drenched beach at an all inclusive hotel. What advice would you give your younger self? Spend more time with your family. What day in your life would you choose to re-live? I missed the birth of my youngest son. More than anything, I wish I had been there.
