What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Funny.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Loyalty.  What is your greatest joy? Being with my husband, children and dog.  What is your greatest fear? Living an unremarkable life.  What is your guilty pleasure? Watching TV.  What is at the top of your bucket list? Traveling the world.  How do you relieve stress? Daily exercise.  

What was your favorite college course? The African Storyteller.  What was your favorite childhood toy or game? The swings at the park.  What movie have you repeatedly watched? Harold and Maude.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? A former therapist. What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? GPS.  What offers you both solace and inspiration? Reading about, listening to, or watching the story of someone’s personal triumph over adversity.  What world event has had the greatest influence on your life? The pandemic.

What is your big idea?

Understanding your challenges at the pattern-level facilitates deep, lasting transformation. True transformation requires identifying the habits of your mind, not an accounting of the details of the story.  

What change would you like to see in the world? Greater compassion for self and others.  What message do you want to send out into the world? The kindness you show toward others emanates from the kindness you show toward yourself.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Artificial intelligence as a substitute for genuine human connection.  

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Unstoppable.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? Albert Einstein.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A therapist.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? Being with those I love most in the world.  What advice would you give your younger self? Forgive yourself for being imperfect, you are in good company.  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? The day I met my husband for the second time.  

Personal mission: To facilitate, hold space for and bear witness to as many people’s rediscovery of their true, loving nature as possible.  Favorite quote: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel” (Maya Angelou). Desired epitaph: True to herself and genuine in her affection for others.
