Current project: Leading a transformation office focused on improving financial returns, employee experience and digital solutions.  Recent professional development: Certified Quality Manager and coach.  Latest contribution to others: Frequently requested as a formal and informal mentor.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Multiple career trajectory shifts.  Memorable travel or adventure: Top two are climbing Kilimanjaro followed by a photo safari and getting engaged under the northern lights in the Arctic Circle in Norway.

Hiking; making my family laugh.  What ingredient is essential to your perfect vacation? Food, family and fun.

What was your first paying job? Babysitting and lining soccer fields with chalk.  What was your favorite college course? Architecture of London, while studying abroad.  Essentially, a walking tour of London.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Travel photos.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? I decided to be an attorney in the eighth grade after watching Brown vs. The Board of Education.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Do your best, ignore what everyone else is doing.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Find your boundary and hold it.  

What is your big idea?

A walk-in booth that sprays sunscreen all over like self-tanning booths.  Or, a business that combines pre-loss grief counseling, estate planning, and estate sale/clean-up for the sandwich generation.

What change would you like to see in the world? A social system that supports working families so that caregivers are not constantly juggling work, support care, time off, lost pay, benefits, time and attention to personal matters.  What mega-trend most excites you? Inclusion in the workplace, in that it supports authenticity.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Continued polarization of our political culture.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? She Laughed While She Did It (Whatever It Was).  What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Drew Barrymore.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A singer.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my family, in nature.  

Personal mission: To search for and bring forth the purpose within myself, others, and organizations with courage and curiosity while always cherishing the human.  Favorite quote: “Your love should never be offered to the mouth of a Stranger / Only to someone who has the valor and daring to cut pieces of their soul off with a knife / Then weave them into a blanket to protect you” (Hafiz).
