Current project: A tool that uses algorithms to identify behavioural trends, both human and AI. Latest contribution to others: Advising, on an unpaid basis, local startups in both the commercial and nonprofit sectors.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Sitting on and moderating a number of industry panels.  Hobbies: Anything with my two sons.  Last book read: Systems Thinking for Business, by Rich Jolly.

Personality profile: Confident, humble, authentic, passionate, excellent decision maker.  Moral compass: Would my children be proud of what I had done and the choices I had made.  How do you define a perfect friendship? Mutual connection, understanding and empathy.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? A trusted partnership driven by the delivery or creation of value for both parties.  What is at the top of your bucket list? A safari with my sons.  How do you relieve stress? Meditation, working out, aligned action.

What was your first paying job? Landscaping.  What was your favorite college course? Capital Markets.  What’s prominently featured on your home or office wall? Art.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? My grandfather.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Always be open to new ways of doing things.  What is your go-to source of news and information? Bloomberg.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field?

Better frameworks for decision-making that maximize positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

What mega-trend most excites you? AI’s democratization of tools to build technology solutions. What mega-trend most concerns you? Bias in media, lack of respect in public discourse.

Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My grandfather.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? Pictures and old family albums and my kids’ favorite stuffies.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? With my kids, in our home and in our yard.  What advice would you give your younger self? Be patient. Find something you love and do it well.
