Current project: Developing a self-funded health plan and platform strategy.  Recent professional development: Sandler Sales Certification.  Latest accomplishment: Won four client accounts for insurance in six months.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Moving from provider/hospital leadership to insurance.  Hobbies: Working out, golf, hunting.  Recent travel or adventure: West Palm Beach, deep-sea fishing with my five boys.  Last book read: Extreme Ownership, by Jocko Willinks.

Personality profile: Intuitive, curious, visionary, caring.  Moral compass: Integrity is everything. Do good and do the right thing.  How do you define an ideal business relationship? Complete one another, care about one another, and challenge one another.  What is your greatest joy? My children.  What natural talent have you neglected? Juggling.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Coal mining.  What is at the top of your bucket list? African safari.  How do you relieve stress? Cold plunge.

What was your first paying job? Yard work.  What was your favorite college course? Anatomy. What movie have you repeatedly watched? Christmas Vacation.  Besides your parents, who has had the greatest influence on your life? Coaches.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? From my grandfather: put the money in your pillow (i.e., save it).  What is your favorite app? Hudl.  What is your go-to source of news and information? Fox News.

What is your big idea?

What is driving up healthcare cost in America is poor healthcare-buying practices of business owners and seniors.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? Change the buying practices of business owners.  What message do you want to send out into the world? Be kind, pay your success forward, and expect nothing.  What mega-trend most excites you? The stabilization of inflation and the market growth of our economy.  What mega-trend most concerns you? The divorce rate in America, along with the growing disregard for religion and spirituality.

What title would you choose for the movie about your life? Only God Knows.  What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? Alan Ritchson.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? Mother Teresa.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? Superman.  What advice would you give your younger self? Take risks early and often, save as much as you can early, travel the world early in life. Be kind to everyone. What period in your life would you do differently, if you could? My forties, for sure.
