Current project: Simplest Program Possible, an at-home exercise program.  Recent professional development: NASM CPT-7 Certified Personal Trainer.  Latest accomplishment: Measurable fat loss and muscle and strength gain in clients and personally losing twelve pounds.  What’s been your big (or biggest leap)? Recovery from an Achilles tendon reconstruction surgery.  Hobbies: Craft projects, journaling, honing calisthenics techniques.  Recent unique acquisition: Homemade moccasins with rubber soles that can be worn during runs and workouts.

Personality profile: Good listener, comforting, patient, practical, clever, enthusiastic.  What is your greatest joy? Making someone laugh.  What is your guilty pleasure? Ice cream. More of it than you think.  What word or phrase do you use far too often? Mercifully.  It’s just too fun of a way to express gratitude for a convenient circumstance.  What natural talent have you neglected? Language learning.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? Teachers, EMTs.  How do you relieve stress? Exercising while listening to exciting music.

What was your first paying job? Working as a pizza cook in a small Italian restaurant in high school.  What was your favorite college course? Criminology.  What was your favorite childhood toy or game? GoldenEye, N64.  What movie have you repeatedly watched? Clue. What modern technology innovation do you most appreciate? Waterproof Bluetooth earbuds.

What is your big idea?

A full-body exercise program that uses the fewest exercises and equipment possible.

What change are you working on to effect in your profession or field? Simplifying exercise principles and guidance.  What change would you like to see in the world? People relating to each other before they relate to a brand, party, agency or organization.  What widely held belief do you reject? Muscles must be trained to failure to grow in size and strength.

What actor would you choose to play you in the movie about your life? John Cena.  Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? Juan Pujol Garcia.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A Green Beret.  After your loved ones, what object would you first save from your burning home? A box of journals and photos from over the years.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? Physically exhaust myself to the extreme so I’d have no energy for apprehension or pondering useless questions.  What advice would you give your younger self? There’s no use in modeling yourself after others or their expectations. You can be yourself and happy or be yourself and unhappy. There’s no third option.  What day in your life would you choose to re-live? Performing at The Comedy Store.

Personal mission: Effective fitness communication. Simplifying and demystifying exercise principles so more people can use them.  Personal motto: No amount of weight lifted justifies bad form.
