Leaving the private sector to work at the White House.  Hobbies: Anything that keeps me active - golf, skiing, hiking, biking, pickleball.  Last book read: Verity, by Colleen Hoover.  Recent travel or adventure: Portofino, Italy.  Recent unique or surprising activity: Turned my living room into a gym!

What one word would your closest friend use to describe you? Libra.  Moral compass: I trust my gut.  How do you define a perfect friendship? One that is easy and accepts me for me.  What is your greatest joy? My two adult children, Megan and Max.  What occupation, other than your own, do you most admire? The United States Armed Forces.  What is at the top of your bucket list? Australia and New Zealand.  How do you relieve stress? A good workout.

What was your first paying job? A waitress at Big Boy.  What movie have you repeatedly watched? The Sound of Music.  What’s the best advice you received growing up? Treat others how you want to be treated.  What’s the best advice you received in your career? Take a risk.  What personal circumstance has had the greatest influence on your life? My husband’s passing from cancer at a young age.

What change would you like to see in the world?

An end to discrimination of any kind and equality for all.

What message do you want to send out into the world? Lead with empathy.  What mega-trend most concerns you? Political polarization.

Who would you like to spend an evening with, in heaven? My Nana.  As a kid, what did you first want to be when you grew up? A music rock star.  How would you choose to spend tomorrow, if you knew it was your last day on earth? Being with my family at home enjoying time together.  What advice would you give your younger self? Don’t sweat the small stuff.
